An intimate look


Flexform launches the new Flexform MOOD advertising campaign 

Starting from June 2017, FLEXFORM will launch the new An Intimate lookadvertising campaign on the most important international design magazines. This new campaign will be exclusively dedicated to Flexform MOOD collection and the main character will be the Alfred sofa, placed in an intimate and sough-after atmosphere.

Twins is a sideboard with two souls. The parallelepiped container is transversely divided into two parts, twins in their size but with different surfaces to the eye and touch that highlight each other, which makes the simple geometry of the container even more charming. The contrast between wood finishes and bright colours combination, or matt and materic finishes and materials joined to shiny surfaces, create a game of contrasts and balances. The upper containment volume is hold by thin metal legs, following to geometry, woods and colours of the upper element.

The word Tala originates from an African concept of Conservation Through Beauty. The company was founded by four friends at the University of Edinburgh with a shared passion for design, technology and sustainability.

For Rike Scholle, it began with an exhibition of the work of American artist Dale Chihuly. “I hadn’t encountered blown glass sculptures before” she explains. “It immediately sparked something, ideas began formulating. I was in a different career then, anxious to discover if I could acquire the skills. It took a few years before my first classes in glassblowing. Then I was hooked.” Working with 1200-degree Celsius globules of glass, Scholle twists sinuous natural forms – myriad component pieces that are then arranged into expansive statements that take a life of their own when complete.
