FIREFLY XV
Ria Keyburia’s newest idea is a study of human fetish in augmented reality. The "Firefly" club morphs into a kind of celestial laboratory and becomes the theatre for the seduction of dozens of night travellers. Everyone eager to test their animal instincts will be able to watch the sexual interplay of mystical insects.
Ria presents a mysterious dance of fireflies unlikely to be forgotten by any that bear witness.
Mystical, otherworldly yellow light and the graceful movement of the fireflies transmit a feminine energy (energy of longevity). Thelights crescendo and eventually become the only visible objects. The magic dance of the fireflies hypnotises the viewers, gradually leading them into a trance. The continuous movement of yellow light brings spectators to a state of mental fatigue, and then to a temporary disturbance of the psyche due to an unexpected act of voyeurism.
The Georgian brand Umi is at the core of the creation of these magical insects, and the painter Anatoly Shabalin exaggerates the mystery and abstract anonymity of these forms with masks cloaking the performers. The display is intended to emphasise the overabundance of female energy in each performer, to allow the audience to indulge in their secret emotions and briefly immerse themselves in the mysterious atmosphere of the club "Firefly”.

RK GALLERY POP UPS - THE AUGMENTED REALITY BOX – an illusionary space soaring in the clouds and serenaded by heavenly chorus. Each performer chants lines from a Georgian poem which float up into the ceiling. These mantras broadcast code into the sky to convene with God. In this new technological era which in some ways enables ever more rapid communication with other worlds and ultimately God.
